Free Game Development Workshop

We have an exciting opportunity coming up for aspiring game developers of any age group! We will be offering a game development workshop, which will be free for anyone who would like to attend! If you or your kids have any interest in game development, programming, or creating game art, feel free to come down to Warp Zone Louisville for a workshop covering a multitude of topics – no experience required!

Ben James, the instructor, is a independent game developer in Louisville, KY. He has been making games for almost 8 years, has released multiple titles commercially, and has a passion for helping others learn how to make games.

The workshop will cover a general overview of putting together a game project using an amazing tool called Scratch. Attendees will learn a little about programming, game logic, and designing their own game art.

Feel free to bring your own computer! We will also have some laptops available for use for those without one.

Everyone is welcome!

Playtesting Night! Come play free local indie games! (Family Friendly)

Playtesting is vital to the game development process! Creating a game without anyone playing it but the developers can result in overlooking important things. That’s where you come in!

At this completely free and family-friendly event, come and play locally-made independent video games from creative individuals and small studios right here in Louisville! No experience necessary, we are looking for anyone who is willing to give something new a try (and help local developers in the process!)

Just show up with an open mind ready for fun new games and we will handle the rest!
